MANTOVA, 22 FEB, 2015- Giornata piovosa al Tazio Nuvolari di Mantova per la 32a edizione dello Starcross. Un meteo tipicamente invernale che, però, non ha privato dello spettacolo i numerosi appassionati che non hanno voluto rinunciare ad incontrare gli assi del grande motocross.

Appassionante la sfida “1 contro 1” che in MXGP ha visto prevalere nei quarti di finale Clement Desalle contro Tanel Leok, e Evgeny Bobryshev contro Cristian Beggi, con la vittoria finale del russo. In MX2 Jordi Tixier ha prevalso su Simone Zecchina, e Brian Bogers su Ivo Monticelli. La sfida tra Tixier e Bogers ha visto vincere, a sorpresa, proprio quest’ultimo, che ha conquistato anche la finalissima con Bobryshev.

In Gara 1 Clement Desalle (Rockstar Energy Suzuki) è andato al comando seguito da Evgeny Bobryshev (Honda HRC) e Kristian Whatley (Honda Buildbase) . Nelle prime fasi il più veloce degli italiani è stato Cristian Beggi, settimo su Yamaha Sm Action Team, mentre Davide De Bortoli (Honda Team Massignani) è stato costretto ad un precoce ritiro mentre era al settimo posto. Ottimo recupero di Jordi Tixier (Monster Energy Kawasaki): soltanto 14° al primo passaggio, il Campione del mondo MX2 ha concluso la prima manche in quinta posizione e primo delle 250cc. La supremazia di Desalle non è stata mai messa in discussione, e l’alfiere Suzuki ha concluso con un margine sempre crescente sul russo Bobryshev.

Gara2 è ancora un assolo per Clement Desalle, che ha trovato di nuovo in Evgeny Bobryshev il suo principale opponente. Anche in questa occasione, però, il russo non è apparso mai veramente in grado di impensierire il leader, che ha tagliato il traguardo con un buon vantaggio su tutta la compagine. Alle spalle di Brobryshev, l’olandese Ceriel Klein Kromhof, su KTM, che ha relegato alle sue spalle lo svizzero Jeremy Seewer (Rockstar Energy Suzuki Europe), primo di MX2 davanti a Jordi Tixier. Il più veloce degli italiani in questa occasione è stato Ivo Monticelli, su KTM, decimo assoluto e quarto di MX2.

Alla terza partenza della giornata è ancora l’asso belga Clement Desalle a scattare per primo. Alle sue spalle sempre il russo Evgeny Bobryshev. Ottimo avvio, questa volta, per il francese Jordi Tixier, che si è piazzato subito in terza posizione davanti a Tanel Leok. Primo degli italiani è stato Cristian Beggi che ha chiuso in undicesima posizione.

Il belga Clement Desalle , 25 anni, di La Louviere è così il 32° vincitore della grande classica del motocross invernale, mentre Jordi Tixier ha bissato il successo di un anno fa in MX2.

Per le classi EMX 125 cc e EMX 85 cc, dopo la prima gara disputata ieri, oggi si sono svolti altri due confronti. Nella ottavo di litro si sono imposti rispettivamente Nicola Bertuzzi e Ivan Petrov, entrambi su KTM, e la classifica assoluta dopo le tre manche ha premiato Nicola Bertuzzi (KYM), davanti a Filipp Zonta (Husqvarna) e Ivan Petrov (KTM). Fra i giovanissimi della classe EMX 85cc, vittoria per Kevin Cristino (KTM) in Gara2 e per l’olandese Raivo Dankers (KTM) in Gara3, con quest’ultimo vincitore anche della classifica assoluta davanti al connazionale Raf Meuwissen e al nostro Kevin Cristino.

The day started with the exciting challenge “1 to 1″: in MXGP in the quarterfinals Clement Desalle dominated against Tanel Leok and Evgeny Bobryshev won against Christian Beggi, with the final victory of the Russian. In MX2 Jordi Tixier prevailed on Simone Zecchina and Brian Bogers on Ivo Monticelli, while the challenge between Tixier and Bogers saw the latter winning, surprisingly, also the final against Bobryshev.

Three heats followed, with the best 50 riders of MXGP and MX2.

In Race 1 Clement Desalle (Rockstar Energy Suzuki) went straight to the lead followed by Evgeny Bobryshev (Honda HRC) and Kristian Whatley (Honda Team Buildbase). In the early phases of the race the fastest of the Italians was Cristian Beggi, who will finish in 7th place on the SM Action Team Yamaha, while David De Bortoli (Honda Team Massignani) was forced to an early retirement while he was seventh. Great recovery from Jordi Tixier (Monster Energy Kawasaki): only 14 ° on the first lap, the MX2 world champion ended the first race in the fifth position, but first in MX2. The superiority of Desalle was never put in discussion, and up to the chequered flag the Suzuki rider had an increasing gap on Russian Bobryshev.

Race 2 was a “solo” for Clement Desalle, who found again his main opponent in Evgeny Bobryshev. Also on this occasion, however, the Russian rider never appeared really able to challenge the leader, who crossed the finish line with a good gap on the whole group. Behind Brobryshev, Dutch Ceriel Kein Kromhof, on KTM, who ended up ahead the Swiss Jeremy Seewer (Rockstar Energy Suzuki Europe), the first in MX2, in front of Jordi Tixier. The fastest of the Italians on this occasion was Ivo Monticelli, on KTM, tenth overall and fourth in MX2.

At the third start of the day it was again the Belgian “ace” Clement Desalle to catch the first position. Behind him, once again, Russian Evgeny Bobryshev. Great start, this time, for French Jordi Tixier, who catched immediately the third position ahead of Tanel Leok and stepped atop the podium. First of Italians Cristian Beggi, eleventh at the finish line.

Winning the three races, Belgian Clement Desalle, 25 years old, of La Louviere, snatched victory of the 32th edition of Starcross, the great classical motocross race which traditionally precedes the World Championship, while Jordi Tixier confirmed his superiority in MX2, like last year.
For classes EMX 125 cc and EMX 85 cc, after the first race of yesterday, today two more two races were held. In the eighth-liter Nicola Bertuzzi and Ivan Petrov, both on KTM, won one race each and the overall standings after three rounds awarded Nicola Bertuzzi, in front Filippo Zonta (Husqvarna) and Ivan Petrov (KTM). Among the youngest riders of EMX 85cc class, victory for Kevin Cristino (KTM) in race 2 and for the Dutch Raivo Dankers (KTM) in race 3: the latter also won the overall standings ahead of compatriot Raf Meuwissen and Italian Kevin Cristino.

Le qualifiche del Sabato si sono svolte alla grande e hanno fornito i partecipanti per le tre finali della Domenica, infatti al cancello si schierano i piloti della MX1 e MX2 insieme!
