Jeffrey Herlings ex campione del mondo per due volte torna in moto!
Jeffrey Herlings ha ottenuto il via libera dal suo medico questa settimana per iniziare a guidare di nuovo. Herlings ha slogato la sua anca al Gran Premio della Repubblica Ceca e ha rotto il bacino.
Gli ci sono voluti quattro mesi per recuperare da queste lesioni, ma questa settimana la buona notizia è arrivata dal suo medico, è abbastanza in forma per iniziare a guidare di nuovo.
Herlings deve prendere in maniera tranquilla il primo paio di settimane e ha iniziato con un po ‘ di enduro Martedì. Il piano è quello di guidare il Giovedi e Sabato di questa settimana. All’inizio del mese di dicembre si recherà in Spagna per iniziare la sua preparazione per la prossima stagione.
Herlings ha tre mesi di tempo per essere e tornare in forma per il primo Gran Premio della stagione in Qatar. L’anno scorso aveva solo 2 settimane e mezzo per prepararsi, le cose sembrano molto più positive per The Bullit!
Ma la vera notizia è che Jeffrey Herlings, come ha dichiarato lui stesso al mondo tramite i social, che rimarrà nella classe MX2 per la stagione 2016!
Vedremo come finirà, visto che sia nel 2014 che nel 2015 Herlings perse le stagioni a causa di infortuni!

KTM announces Herlings to race MX2 in 2016
Jeffrey Herlings, MX2 World Champion in 2012 and 2013, will return to racing in the same class in 2016 season, KTM Factory Racing has announced. The decision was reached at a meeting between KTM’s Motorsports Department and the rider.
The talented Dutch rider has always been a major player in the class over the past four seasons but lost a good part of the past two seasons because of injury, Jeffrey Herlings will return in 2016 fit and well, and will race alongside Red Bull KTM Factory Racing Team’s Pauls Jonass and Davy Pootjes.
Jeffrey Herlings: “After all the bad luck I had in the past seasons I want to race again in MX2 and go for my third world title in 2016. I want to thank KTM for putting their trust in me and giving me this opportunity to hopefully finish business in this class. It is not necessary for me to step up to MXGP because of the age limit, but if I win the title next year I would definitely move up to the big class the following year.”
Herlings, a multiple Dutch national champion, won the 2012 world title with nine GP wins and 13 podiums. In 2013 he was even more dominant, taking the title with 15 GP wins. In 2014 he took twelve victories before injury ended his hopes of the title, but he still accrued enough points to finish second in the championship.

But now it’s time for him to put all that behind him and concentrate on what we know will be his bright future. I am absolutely confident that it is the right decision for Jeffrey to concentrate on making his comeback in the MX2 class. Now he needs to build up a new platform; then he can move onto the next steps in his career.”
