Dopo aver saltato l’MXGP della Rep. Ceca, ancora un’assenza per il pilota del Team Red Bull KTM Jeffrey Herlings questo fine settimana nel Campionato del Mondo Mx2. Visto il suo vantaggio di 127 punti sul secondo in classifica Jeremy Seewer, l’olandese ha deciso di saltare anche il GP del Belgio per permettere alla sua clavicola fratturata ed operata di guarire al meglio.
Al momento sembra sia in dubbio anche la sua presenza nell’MXGP della Svizzera, il prossimo fine settimana. Saltando tre GP di fila, Herlings rimarrebbe comunque al comando in classifica Mondiale visto il enorme vantaggio. Il suo rientro potrebbe essere in occasione della prova di casa sul tracciato artificiale di Assen, in Olanda.

Red Bull KTM Factory rider Jeffrey Herlings will miss the Grand Prix of Lommel this weekend. With a massive lead in the series points it seems that this is the best option for the two time MX2 world champion.
“I could have ridden, but my collarbone is still tender. Another blow to it could worsen the injury and put me out for the rest of the season. I do not want to take that risk. It is a painful decision. Lommel is one of my favourite tracks and almost a home GP for me. But this is the wisest decision at the moment. I will have another examination and then decide whether to start again at the Swiss GP next weekend or at Assen on 28 August.”
