BACK IN TIME ‘RETRO DESIGN’ FOR SUZUKI MXGP IN LOMMEL
Le grafiche sono state mostrate a tutti delle moto da corsa factory RM-Z450 e RM-Z250 questo pomeriggio(ieri) a Lommel per rivelare una speciale livrea dedicata alle Suzuki World MXGP & MX2 con cui affronteranno il Gran Premio del Belgio di questo fine settimana.
La Suzuki è andato sul retrò e di nuovo all’anno 1992 per il 14 ° round del FIM Motocross World Championship 2016 nella gara di casa del team in scena al famoso circuito di sabbia. General Manager Stefan Everts – l’ex Campione del Multi mondiale nel controllo dei lavori di set-up per quasi un anno, con il marchio con cui ha afferrato il primo dei suoi record di 10 titoli – ha contribuito a svelare il ‘jazz’ del nuovo look con i piloti Kevin Strijbos, Arminas Jasikonis, Jeremy Seewer, Brian Hsu e Bas Vaessen ad un raduno di team partner, sponsor, amici e stampa internazionale.
“Questo è il nostro primo GP di casa e abbiamo voluto creare qualcosa di cui la gente abbia voglia di parlare”, dice Everts. “Sono onorato che abbiamo preso una decisione di gruppo per raccogliere quel memorabile design ’92 dai miei giorni di guida; Credo che non sia facile perdere! Voglio dire un grande grazie a tutti quelli che hanno tirato insieme e avere fatto questo, comprende i marchi del cambio e la gente come Merlo, Shift, Suomy, IXS e Shoei. Spero che i tifosi pensino che sia qualcosa di bello. “
Le moto non sono gli unici elementi della squadra Suzuki ad essere abbelliti con il nuovo schema: I piloti di MXGP, MX2 e classi EMX sono stati opportunamente colorati in stile con abbigliamento per completare il look.
“E ‘piuttosto cool e qualcosa di diverso, che è la cosa importante”, ha detto Strijbos. “Ho guidato il mio Gran Premio di casa molte volte, ma questa è una prima volta per me ed è grande che i ragazzi hanno messo lo sforzo supplementare per farlo accadere.”
Covers were thrown off the RM-Z450 and RM-Z250 factory race bikes this afternoon at Lommel to reveal a special dedicated livery with which Team Suzuki World MXGP & MX2 will tackle the Grand Prix of Belgium this weekend.
Suzuki went retro and back to the year of 1992 for the 14th round of the 2016 FIM Motocross World Championship at the team’s home event staged at the notorious, sandy circuit. General Manager Stefan Everts – the former multi World Champion in control of the works set-up for almost one year, and with the brand that he grasped the first of his record 10 crowns – helped unveil the ‘jazzy’ new look along with riders Kevin Strijbos, Arminas Jasikonis, Jeremy Seewer, Brian Hsu and Bas Vaessen to a gathering of team partners, sponsors, friends and the international press.
“This is our first home GP and we wanted to create something that people would like and talk about,” says Everts. “I’m honoured in a way that we made a group decision to pick that memorable ’92 design from my riding days; I don’t think it was easy to miss! I want to give a big thanks for everyone that pulled together to get it done and that includes the gear brands and people like Blackbird, Shift, Suomy, IXS and Shoei. I hope the fans think it is something nice.”
The bikes are not the only elements of Team Suzuki to be graced with the new scheme: The riders in the MXGP, MX2 and EMX classes also have appropriately coloured and styled riding attire to complete the look.
“It’s pretty cool and something different, which is the important thing,” said Strijbos. “I’ve ridden my home Grand Prix many times but this is a first for me and it’s great that the guys have put the extra effort in to make it happen.”
