MICHELE CERVELLIN – GP QATAR 2017 – 5° ASSOLUTO!

E se nella classe regina avevamo tutti gli occhi puntati sul nostro Campione del Mondo, 8 per l’esattezza, nella MX2 li avevamo per i giovani italiani!!! Così Michele Cervellin ha fatto esaltare tutta l’Italia per la sua performance in Qatar, Bravo Miche, bella gara, ci hai fatto gasare!

Cervellin miglior risultato di carriera in Qatar!

Michele Cervellin ricaricato tramite una classe MX2 altamente competitiva prendere il suo primo GP con il Team HRC MX2 tra i primi cinque. 

Cervellin ha mancato la partenza sulla prima gara lasciandolo indietro nella 17° posizione. Poi entro i primi 15 minuti aveva combattuto la sua strada arrivando nella top 10 in un giro spettacolare. Quando gli altri piloti erano in rassegnazione, Cervellin ha scavato in profondità e l’ultimo giro stava ancora spingendo ed è stato il pilota più veloce in pista. Nella seconda gara Cervellin ha avuto un avvio molto più forte ed è stato il quinto entro le prime curve, ha corso in modo coerente e ha dimostrato che ha la capacità di raggiungere il suo obiettivo in questa stagione di finire nei primi cinque entro la fine della stagione. 

Nonostante sentirsi bene sulla moto, Notsuka non ha avuto il fine settimana che aveva sperato nel suo primo debutto stagionale GP in Qatar.

6 °, 8 ° 5 ° ASSOLUTO

Sono davvero felice del mio primo GP in Qatar finendo al quinto posto assoluto. La squadra ed io abbiamo lavorato bene insieme e la moto era perfetta. Credo di essere stato un po ‘nervoso, come ieri, è stato il mio primo GP con HRC e molto da imparare, ma oggi tutto sembrava buono. Ho trovato una linea più veloce nella prima gara per il passaggio di altri piloti e l’utilizzo di questa linea mi ha aiutato ad arrivare fino al sesto. Mi è piaciuta la pista e mi sentivo bene a girare. Non vedo l’ora di cercare di migliorare questo risultato in Indonesia la settimana prossima.

La MX2 è stato un molto rispettabile per noi in questo fine settimana. Ovviamente, abbiamo due ragazzi giovani che fanno la loro prima stagione completa nel mondiale che sarà una sfida. Il processo di apprendimento di Notsuka iniziò questo fine settimana e, anche se lui non è contento della sua prestazione deve prendere questo fine settimana come una lezione e imparare a stabilirsi in una serie di gare che è un grande passo sopra quello che è stato in precedenza. Michele è andato bene in gara. Siamo soddisfatti di come ha guidato oggi, in particolare, la sua prima gara e per questo egli è ora seduto al quinto posto nel campionato del mondo e siamo sicuro di dire che siamo abbastanza soddisfatti.

Cervellin takes career best in Qatar

Michele Cervellin charged through a highly competitive MX2 class to take his first finish with Team HRC MX2 in the top five.

Cervellin missed the start on the first race meaning leaving him back in 17thposition. Then within the first 15 minutes he had battled his way into the top 10 in a spectacular ride. When others were flagging, Cervellin dug deep and by the last lap he was still pushing and was the fastest rider on track. In the second race Cervellin had a much stronger start and was fifth within the first few corners, he raced consistently and showed that he has the capability of reaching his goal this season of finishing top five by the end of the season.

Despite feeling good on the bike, Notsuka didn’t have the weekend he had hoped for in his first full GP season debut in Qatar. The young Japanese faced challenges such as being closed off at the gate and then following this he crashed early on costing him a competitive position in the race. Despite this, Notsuka picked himself up and finished the race which is important for him to do in his learning year in the MX2 world championship class.

6TH, 8TH  5TH OVERALL

I am really happy about my first GP in Qatar finishing fifth overall. The team and I worked well together and the bike was perfect. I think I may have been a bit nervous yesterday as it was my first GP with HRC and was a lot to take in but today it all felt good. I found a faster line in the first race for passing other riders and using this line helped me get up to sixth. I liked the track and I felt good on it. I look forward to trying to improve this in Indonesia next week.

MX2 was a very respectable for us this weekend. Obviously, we have two young guys doing their first full season in the world championship which is always going to be a challenge. Notsuka’s learning process began for him this weekend and although he isn’t happy with his performance he should take this weekend as a lesson and learn to settle into a race series which is a big step above what he has been in previously. Michele went well in the races. We are pleased with how he rode today in particular his first race and because of this he is now sitting fifth in the world championship and it’s safe to say we are pretty happy with that.
