Almost 30,000 people bulged the fences at the fast, scenic and tricky Neuquen circuit for the Grand Prix of Argentina for what was round three of 2017 MXGP and it was Monster Energy Yamaha’s Jeremy Van Horebeekwho caught the eye with his maiden podium finish of the season in second place. The Belgian was a rapid and undeniable force at the third round of nineteen and the first of two intercontinental events for the FIM Motocross World Championship. With results of 2-3 in two warm motos in the heart of Patagonia and all its natural glory ‘JVH’ sprayed cold champagne for the first time since the Monster Energy GP of Americas last summer. Teammate Romain Febvre took a fifth place finish in the premier class while Kemea Yamaha’s Benoit Paturel (fourth) and Monster Energy DRT Kawasaki’s Darian Sanayei (fifth) shone respectively in MX2. MXGP stays within the realms of the Americas with the Grand Prix of Mexico at Leon on April 1st. |
